English-Chinese Prescriptions of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion

"The prescriptions of acumox (acupuncture and moxibustion) is an important part of the therapeutics of acumox. Whether the prescriptions and techniques of acumox are correct or not is directly related to the therapeutic effect of acumox. To increase the clinic curative effect of acumox, one must try to grasp the essentials of the prescriptions and manipulative methods of acumox. For this purpose, we have, by consulting a large quantity of acumox literatures and materials, summarized the most practical prescriptions of acumox for clinic practice. Incorporating with specific diseases and syndromes, we have compiled this Practical Chinese-English Prescriptions of Acupuncture and Moxibustion for the reference of acupuncturists, students of TCM, international students and acumox amateurs.

This book is composed of two major parts: General Introduction and Specific Discussion. The General Introduction is devoted to the elucidation of the principles of acumox prescriptions and the methods of acupoints compatibility. The Specific Discussion is composed of eigh chapters in which the acumox prescriptions for 115 commonly encountered diseases are discussed in the order of internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, osteonosus, dermatology, ophthalmology as well as ear-nose-throat. The prescriptions are, usually elucidated following the discussion of the diseases, are explained under the items of composition, origin, action, implication, indication, operation, clinic materials and typical case report, etc. The contents are comprehensive and practical. The prescriptions, clinic reports and typical case are mainly selected from various literatures and materials, the source of which is labeled for the convenience of consultation."
